Position Overview: My client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist and Deburring Engineer to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathes using Fanuc programming to produce high-precision aerospace components and performing detailed deburring to ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC lathes using Fanuc programming to machine parts according to engineering specifications and schematic drawings.
  • Set up, adjust, and maintain CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to prevent downtime and ensure longevity, which will all be shown to you.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify conformity to specifications (verniers etc).
  • Carry put deburring tasks with precision and care, removing excess material, and smoothing edges to meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to address any production issues or improvements - continuous improvement!
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Document and report any non-conformances or equipment malfunctions, and ensure all documentation and completion forms are correct.

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace or aviation industry.
  • Strong understanding of Fanuc programming, tooling, and machining processes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with deburring tools and techniques, as well as inspection methods.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
