Repairs and Maintenance Manager
(This role is known as Property Services Manager at Great Places)

An exciting opportunity awaits for a Repairs and Maintenance Manager to join our exceptional team in South Manchester at Great Places Housing Group. This pivotal role entails overseeing the repairs and maintenance service of a defined property portfolio, with a focus on delivering unparalleled customer satisfaction and exceptional value for every penny. What you will be doing…

  • In your new role, you will be leading a team of directly employed experienced operatives and contractors ensuring we continue to deliver a high standard of repairs and void works in our customers’ homes.
  • You will be using data and insight to proactively analyse performance to understand repairs service, operational delivery and performance. Working with your team, you will planning and delivering continuous improvement in terms of customer satisfaction and value for money.
  • In addition you will also be managing be managing the refurbishment of empty properties to provide good quality homes for our future customers!

What will you get in return for your hard work and commitment?

We offer a starting salary between £41,500 - £43,703 and following successful completion of your first six months service we will review your salary. This is based on a 39 hour week, starting with 26 days annual leave increasing up to 30 days within 5 years, plus bank holidays!

  • A people person, passionate about building relationships and adopting a ‘one team approach’, with a proven track record of successfully leading a team of technical operatives to deliver an excellent service within repairs & voids management.
  • Customer focused, ensuring we deliver the very best for your customers in terms of service delivery and product quality.
  • Proactivity and solution focused approach! The service is continuously evolving and you will be an important part of moving this forward.
  • Excellent organisation and time management. You will be juggling competing priorities and so you must be comfortable delegating workloads and creating a defined direction for your team and getting the best out of them.
  • Experience of inspecting and managing works, within restricted budgets, ensuring commercial viability, and high product quality.
