Type: Permanent Hybrid working option

£32,000 - £38,000 per annum plus bonus

Hours: Monday - Friday/ 8am - 5pm

The role:

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant or Assistant Finance Manager for our manufacturing client based in Paignton.

The role of Assistant Management Accountant will play a pivotal role within the Finance division and here you will be responsible for the preparation and reporting of the management accounts within the Business. You will be supporting audit requests, reconciling and supervising transactional activities in conjunction with group shared service centre in the middle east including purchase/sales ledger, reconciliations, payroll and other finance related duties.

As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will be the main point of contact locally for finance related queries. The successful candidate will possess a wealth of financial experience and be keen to forge a successful career with our client.

Main duties and responsibilities

Ensure all finance transactional activities are processed by group Finance Shared Service Centre.

Support the Head of Finance with preparation of the monthly management

accounts and group reporting

Manage accruals and prepayments

Weekly Cash flow forecasting

Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and managing the Deferred VAT account as well as any other queries with HMRC

Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly, including a thorough review of the GRNI, down payments and key account for specific suppliers as well as

payroll/pension accounts

Provide support on all audit requests, collating and retrieving as required

Supervise daily reconciliation of bank accounts and allocations to customer

accounts and being main point of contact locally for finance related queries.

Supervise the preparation of the weekly/monthly BACS run in line with cash flow.

Make payments as required using the banking portal

Supervise all credit control processes including allocating cash to customer

accounts and chasing debt as required.

Any other ad hoc duties as required by the business

Process monthly payroll and all associated activities including pension etc .

Skills and experience sought

Excellent communication and organisational skillsStrong team player

ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualified or part-qualified

3 plus years' experience in a similar role

The ability to analyse and solve problems

MS Office including excel pivot tables, VLOOKUPs,

Attention to detail

Experience working with ERP Finance packages e.g. SAP

Personal Qualities

Team player

Excellent communication skills

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role

Strong IT skills
