An experienced Lead Home Automation Engineer with relevant experience is needed to join our team at Avande Select, a leading smart home technology provider based in London, on a full-time basis. 

This role is responsible for overseeing the complete installation of our projects, ensuring they are delivered to the highest quality standard, on time and on budget with full customer satisfaction.

 The candidate should be based in London or SE and hold a valid driving licence. Work will mostly be in London and the surrounding counties, although projects may be further afield from time to time.

About the Role

This role may suit a skilled installation engineer who wants to take full responsibility for delivering individual customer projects, including site planning, installation, commissioning, and successful handover to the customer.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Setting the standards for the engineers on-site
• Leading the engineering team
• Working with the operations and design team to ensure projects are planned and executed on time and on budget 
• Handing over projects to clients and familiarising them with their systems
• Documenting all projects and on-site technical details 
• Keeping the Operations manager up to date on a daily basis
• Capturing and monitoring variations as projects progress 
• Making sure all engineers have the equipment needed for installations
• Health and safety - reviewing the RAMS and keeping all logs and records up to date for the projects the PM is responsible for
• Keeping all drawings and documentation up to date 
• Liaising between the design and commercial departments 
• Continually learning about the company's products
• Liaising with clients on the progress of their installation or service visits
• Communicating with all subcontractors and the main contractor for the project
• Logging all tasks and activity on company software

Required Experience:

• Proven experience with residential smart home system installation such as Lighting Control, HVAC, Security, Audio Visual, IT/ Networks and Home Cinema
• Demonstrate a track record of working on high-end residential projects and delivering the above systems, and be comfortable in dealing directly with our clients and their contractors

Desirable Experience:

• Lighting Control - Lutron, KNX
• Control Systems - Control4 & Savant
• Networking - Draytek, Ruckus, Ubiquiti
• KNX / BMS experience 
• Home Cinema, Audio and Video distribution 
• Data and patch panel termination and equipment rack building are essential
