Job Overview:

Are you an experienced Social Worker with a background in MASH looking for a dynamic locum role? We are seeking a MASH Social Worker to join our team in Lancashire. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £41.91 and requires office presence 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice, support, and triage/screen requests for support and phone calls to children's services within the Request for Support Hub.
  • Act as the "one front door" to Children's Social Care, ensuring referrals are appropriately signposted in line with the Levels of Need.
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of the application of thresholds and liaise confidently with partner agencies.
  • Maintain concise, fit-for-purpose reports/court statements and up-to-date, accurate records.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Social Work England (SWE) registration is essential.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in statutory children’s social work.
  • MASH experience and a good understanding of safeguarding children processes.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Experience with children’s services data systems (Mosaic, ICS) is preferred.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to reflect critically on your practice.
