We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation of innovators and designers.

Position Overview: As a DT Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students by teaching them essential skills in design, engineering, and problem-solving. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that encompass a wide range of topics, including product design, graphics, textiles, electronics, and more. Through hands-on projects and real-world applications, you will empower students to unleash their creativity, develop practical skills, and cultivate a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons that cater to the diverse needs and interests of students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to take risks and explore new ideas.
  • Integrate technology and digital tools effectively into teaching to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their design skills and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that promote creativity and innovation across the curriculum.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in design and technology education and incorporate relevant content into lesson plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, Technology, Engineering, Education, or a related field
  • Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience in Design and Technology at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, processes, and tools.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design applications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for teaching and inspiring students to pursue careers in design, engineering, and related fields.
