JUNIOR BUYER | SCOTLAND | HYBRID WORKING | NATIONAL RETAILER | CIRCA £34,000
We're currently partnering with one of the UK's largest retailers.
They span the entirety of the UK with stores, national e-com presence and have been established for over 100 years.
As the Junior Buyer you will lead the strategy for your departments whilst actively trading in season. We're hoping to connect with experienced Assistant Buyers or established Junior Buyers.
The main requirement for being considered for this opportunity is that you'll need to have bought & managed your own option count, seasonal strategies, lessons learnt, sign off processes and managed one or more individuals.

AS THE JUNIOR BUYER:
- You'll own and run with departmental strategy meetings
- Using sales data and historic information, you'll be able to spot best sellers, cash drivers and lines to walk away from
- Build cohesive ranges
- Care and maintain for a clear pricing architecture
- Conduct regular comp shopping exercises, with the support of your BAA
- Proactively run new in reports to stay one step ahead of the competitive
- Drive newness for your area through market research and utilising your supply base
- Manage suppliers, ensuring the best price and quality is always being met
- Introduce new suppliers to the business
- Review lessons learnt and strategy meetings to identify gaps in your ranges for opportunity
- Ensure your range plans and critical paths are fully up to date & accurate at all times with your BAA
- Trade into any OTB
- Manage spend and option count with your merchandising team
