About the role

As a Child Support Worker, you will be required to work within a class team under the direction of the class teacher, supporting personalised learning usually 1-1 as well as supporting the pupils to meet their personal needs. You will be not only supporting pupils academically but also with their daily routine depending on their needs and requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to experience working within specialist provision and support children with learning disabilities and complex needs.

About the school

Our schools cater for learners with a wide range of special educational needs. You'll join the team in encouraging the pupils to participate in and develop their learning as much as they are able to whilst also supporting with emotional needs. Each child has an education and support plan in place which are followed thoroughly by Teachers and the Support Staff.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Child Support Worker you will:

  • Be available and flexible.
  • Be willing to support pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Have, or be willing to obtain a DBS on the update service
  • Be passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs

Salary

£75 to £85 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months experience supporting young people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
