Nursery Room Leader

A Nursery in Paddington is looking for a Room Leader to join their team in the Toddler Room working with children aged 18 months - 2.5 years old
The Manager is looking for someone who is confident, warm, caring, kind and passionate about childcare.
This is a full time permanent position and you will be required to work 38 hours per week on a shift basis between the hours of 8am & 6pm,

-Minimum Level 3 Qualified in Childcare
-Experience working with Early Years
-Experience of leading/supervising a team
-At least 2 years working in a Nursery
-Up to date DBS (If not, must be willing to complete one)
-Understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding & EYFS
-Excellent communication skills both written & spoken
You will be required to carry out the following duties:
- Working in a team supporting & leading the team
- Follow Nurseries policies and procedures
- Sharing innovative new ideas
- Ensuring the children's needs are met as well as keeping them safe at all times
- Carry out observations and planning on key children
- Communicate with children, staff and parents on a daily basis
- To ensure responsibility for the effective daily running of the rooms
- To have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures and expectations
- To act as an excellent role model to the staff team being able to showcase high quality practice in all areas
- To take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety and security practice within the nursery
- To work co-operatively with the managers, deputy and other room leaders
- To work with outside professionals where required
- To work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families
