Standard working hours 0800 – 1730 hrs (45hr week) Flexible start time

Salary: Circa £40k - £44k

We are excited to be working with a successful independent UK national lift company, who provide professional lift maintenance, repairs, modernisations, and new lift installations from 8 regional centres.

With over 280 direct employees and a multimillion pound turn over business, this company have over 10,000 lifts under maintenance contracts, including household name retail brands, international hotel groups, schools and universities, hospitals to smaller nursing homes, residential developments and commercial facilities.

Covering predominantly South Yorkshire spreading into Derby / Nottingham, we are looking for a Service Call out engineer to carry out maintenance on a variety of types of lifts efficiently and professionally. They are looking for a smart, self-motivated individual who must always want to work to the best of their abilities, maintaining a high standard of work thought and be engaging with customers and have the capability recognise business opportunities whilst in field and make recommendations with sufficient information to allow estimators to quote accurately. Identify and specify the required material and organise the work required on site.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Servicing of Commercial lifts
• responding to break downs within set time parameters
• responsible for ordering and replenishing parts for repair and service
• Mechanical break down repair
• Field based Derbyshire and Yorkshire region
• Service route predominantly around South Yorkshire – spreading into Derby/Nottingham as required (note if in different location within our region we can potentially make this work)
• Minimum 4 x services per day (approx. 80/month), plus reactive calls and small repairs in area
• 9 hour day – Paid door to door
• On call rota  - Currently 1 in 10 days
• Potential to earn with additional overtime available (OT rates 1.3, 1.5 & 2 x hourly rate)

Salary – Experience dependant – Circa £40K - £44k

Person specification:

The role is ideal for somebody who can manage their own diary and has the ability to complete accurate job sheets, time sheets and other administration required. You must have a background working in commercial lift repair or maintenance and possess the maturity and confidence necessary to communicate with clients and their agents on site. Be of smart and presentable appearance and demonstrate a commitment to complete a task regardless of time.

Level 3 NVQ in Lift Maintenance / lift installation

Be on call 1 day out of 9 rolling enhanced payment for each day on call
