Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for an individual who comes from the agriculture sector to join a global technical service company as a Project Support Coordinator for the Crop & Residues division.
This position supports the laboratory function but will not involve any bench/testing work. It is a great opportunity for someone who has worked within the laboratory in industry who is now looking to move out of a bench-based role into something more office based.
The main responsibility of the role is to oversee all incoming work and requests and ensure that the client requirements are clearly understood. You will work closely with the laboratory team to ensure that the requirements are being met so a technical/scientific background is a must.

Responsibilities
• Oversee all incoming work, ensuring that work requests are accompanied by the correct paperwork and client requirements are clearly understood and quoted correctly.
• Ensure that all paperwork and reports are reported correctly onto the LIMS.
• Conduct sample registration and acknowledge receipts of samples, advising clients of any changes to the analysis and any changes in timeframes of the projects.
• Undertake sub-sampling and arrange for transportation of samples to sub-contractor laboratories if required, whilst completing all necessary paperwork.
• Review and approve all work requests to ensure that the jobs are booked in per client requirements.
• Deal directly with clients to ensure that any queries are resolved prior to approving the analysis- ensuring that you are the main point of contact with all clients- keeping them always informed.
• Work closely with the laboratory team to ensure that consumables are up to date and in stock for the required analysis.
• Help with sample preparation, freezer stock and sample disposal when required.
• Support with report drafting and pre-quotations.
• Ensure that documentation is in line with their ISO 17025 quality system.

The Person
• Previous experience working within the agriculture, environmental, crop/plant industry or similar.
• Experience with admin/sales/customer service- you will be dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis, so this is essential.
• Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft office applications.
