School Support Assistant - Special Needs - Southwark

We are currently are looking for an experienced SEND Support Worker who is a dedicated and passionate individual looking for a long-term role in a fantastic SEND setting in Southwark. Our school caters for children and young adults from 5-16 years old with varied SEND needs such as Autism, PMLD, and complex needs.

As a full-time School Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced educators, providing support in the classroom and helping to create a positive learning environment for all students. Your duties will include working one-on-one with students who require additional assistance, assisting with classroom activities and lesson planning, and helping to develop individual education plans.

he Person/Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or adults with additional needs
  • Experience or willingness to assist with personal care if needed
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 3-6 months
