Role Summary:

In order to support the rapid growth and scale of Dexcom, we are seeking an experienced, highly-motivated Senior Program Manager, to join a team delivering our EMEA strategic growth initiatives.  Working as the PM you will be involved in the structuring and delivery of strategic plans and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver. You will be heavily involved in strategy planning and execution together with the continuous governance and monitoring of performance throughout the project and program lifecycle.

You will be a results-oriented strategic thinker and hands-on delivery lead who demonstrates strong internal and external relationship management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, high EQ, and the ability to influence change across a matrixed organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Establish and lead cross-functional projects, including governance, project planning, approach, execution and tracking;
  • Oversee and guide progress, defining scope, deliverables, resources, actions in close cooperation with the leadership team;
  • Develop and maintain project framework, including a communications plan, RACI and RAID logs;
  • Facilitate regular planning team meetings with documented outputs (minutes actions), and report on project status, progress, risks, issues and interdependencies;
  • Engage and liaise with global and local stakeholders where applicable to ensure cross-functional alignment throughout the project and avoid siloed thinking;
  • Appreciate (organisational) cultural differences and different management practices and utilize appropriate change management methods;
  • Be comfortable with complexity and ambiguity and willing to help guide difficult decisions without complete information;
  • Employ strong written and verbal communications skills to articulate sophisticated problems in a simplified way, providing timely communication of issues/concerns both up and down the communication hierarchy;

Required Qualifications:

  • You will have a significant number of years’ experience, in the commercial and strategic program/project management environment, preferably in the medical device, pharma or digital health industries;
  • Significant in-country experience in European markets, demonstrating a cultural and business understanding of doing business in;
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including capacity to comfortably interface with senior leaders;
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and excellence in effectively managing multiple projects/priorities;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and coordinate demands from multiple customers, both internally and with partners.  Must be able to handle ambiguity well;
  • Expertise to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, as well as the ability to function independently as appropriate;
  • Strong leadership and self-direction with high capacity for learning quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Diabetes industry and/or Digital Health preferred.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  •  Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.

Travel Required:

  • 0 – 10%

Workplace Location:

  • The Workplace Type for this role is Hybrid working, meaning you will be based in the office 2 or 3 days each week for project activities, with the remainder of the time home based.
