Job Title: Caretaker
Location: Kent area, based in ME14 1ST
Pay Rate: £13.15 per hour PAYE
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our team, responsible for maintaining our estates and communal areas in the Kent area to the highest standards. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents and the public.
Summary of Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Attend to cleaning tasks according to the schedules and frequencies defined for each estate.
- Report emergencies, communal repairs, and incidents of vandalism.
- Keep internal and external areas free of graffiti.
- Manage bin areas, including disinfecting, rotating positions for collection, deep cleaning, etc.
- Act as a point of contact for residents, ensuring good communication with all teams and departments.
- Identify hazards, complete daily risk assessments, and take remedial action as necessary.
- Grit estate access paths and roads when snow/ice is expected.
- Comply with COSHH regulations related to cleaning materials used.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in cleaning and caretaking or a similar role.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to remain courteous and polite at all times.
- Ability to identify and report repairs within the blocks.
- Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations is ideal.
