Job Title: Caretaker

Location: Kent area, based in ME14 1ST

Pay Rate: £13.15 per hour PAYE

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our team, responsible for maintaining our estates and communal areas in the Kent area to the highest standards. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents and the public.

Summary of Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Attend to cleaning tasks according to the schedules and frequencies defined for each estate.
• Report emergencies, communal repairs, and incidents of vandalism.
• Keep internal and external areas free of graffiti.
• Manage bin areas, including disinfecting, rotating positions for collection, deep cleaning, etc.
• Act as a point of contact for residents, ensuring good communication with all teams and departments.
• Identify hazards, complete daily risk assessments, and take remedial action as necessary.
• Grit estate access paths and roads when snow/ice is expected.
• Comply with COSHH regulations related to cleaning materials used.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in cleaning and caretaking or a similar role.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to remain courteous and polite at all times.
• Ability to identify and report repairs within the blocks.
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations is ideal.
