Job Title: Finance Co-Ordinator

Location: Birmingham City Centre

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Co-Ordinator to join our residential property investment team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing group transactions, managing client purchase deposits, processing payments, and preparing and managing company accounts. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity and success of our investment operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Group Transactions Management:

   - Oversee and manage all financial transactions across the group.

   - Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of group transactions.

   - Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

2. Client Purchase Deposits:

   - Manage client purchase deposits, ensuring funds are accurately recorded and allocated.

   - Monitor deposit accounts and ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

   - Provide regular reports on deposit status and any discrepancies.

3. Payment Processing:

   - Process payments accurately and timely, including vendor payments, client refunds, and other disbursements.

   - Maintain accurate records of all payment transactions.

   - Work closely with the accounts payable team to ensure all payments are processed in accordance with company procedures.

4. Accounts Preparation and Management:

      - Manage and oversee the preparation of management accounts for internal review.

   - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

5. Financial Reporting and Compliance:

   - Prepare and submit financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders as required.

   - Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.

   - Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.

6. Team Collaboration:

   - Work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.

   - Provide financial insights and support to the investment team to aid in decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Education: Accounting, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.

- Experience: Proven experience as a Finance Controller or in a similar financial management role, preferably within the property investment or real estate industry.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify financial discrepancies and propose effective solutions.

- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports.

- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members, clients, and senior management.

- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
