The Civil Engineer job itself, where you will work within a Civil Engineering design team responsible for the design of drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes.  You will work in a design office, with regular exposure to developers, architects and local authorities.  More specifically undertake and manage team resources for design work for:

• Drainage systems in accordance with Sewers for Adoption, building regulations and the SuDS Manual.
• On and off-site highway features, in accordance with the appropriate standards and codes e.g. Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, and Manual for Streets
• Be responsible for writing fee proposals,
• Utilising AutoCAD and Site 3D or equivalent 3D software,
• Reviewing of junior team members' reports, design and drawing work,
• Attend client meetings and site visits,
• Co-operate with the Quality Management System (QMS)

You will have

To be successful as a Civil Engineer, you will have a healthy mix of the following:

• A degree or HND in Civil Engineering
• Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards preferred
• 3+ years’ consultancy experience,
• Experience working with local authorities, developers and architects on civils
• Experience through the planning process from pre-app to condition discharge
• Civil engineering project management experience
• Expertise in projects combining drainage, external works and highways
