NDT Manager

Posted a week ago by NDT Resources ltd

Location:
Derby, Derbyshire
Salary/Rate:
£50,000/annum

Are you an experienced NDT Technician with a passion for ensuring excellence in NDT activities? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to become the NDT Manager of a small team at my client's facility in Derby.

My client is a supplier of a comprehensive range of repair, overhaul, consultancy, testing and training services to the rail rolling stock industry. As specialists in the sector, and with a track record of expertise which extends back to 1994, they have become a trusted supplier to many of the rail industry's largest and well-known names.

As the NDT Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving quality assurance in all NDT operations.

You will be responsible for assisting with the specification, documentation, and verification of NDT requirements for my client and their customers. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all NDT activities within the business align with industry requirements, particularly BS EN 15085.

You will provide quality oversight of 6 welders who are NDT certified (at the facility and occasionally at customer sites). The NDT Manager would oversee but not directly manage these individuals. He would complete surveillances and reviews on them and assess their capabilities against requirements. A new post of NDT Technician is to be created who would report directly to you.

My client really does treat people as individuals and are keen to provide avenues of progression, including to Level 3 for this position. This is probably what makes this company a strongly growing business - they may need to expand the NDT team in the near future.
