Product Test Engineer

Full time permanent role

Mon-Fri only - 0830-1600.

There is plenty of free parking on site for all staff. Workplace is based around 5 minutes walk from Haywards Heath station and local bus routes.

Salary £28000-£40000 per annum, depending on experience plus excellent all round company benefits

The role - Product Test Engineer

Working as part of the Quality Team in the testing of various in-house designed electromechanical products, this new role will carry out electronic build and pressure test functions, Final product inspection, Electronic received inspection on a day-to-day basis, whilst also providing support to testing of new products.

Duties will include:

• Inspection: Visual, automated and functional testing of company designed electrical
  components and critical parts at goods in.
• Final Build: Full electrical and pressure testing before despatch.

• Testing: Testing and fault finding of electronic products at various production stages - Sub-assemblies are fully tested using semi-automated processes.

• Development: Performance and endurance testing of new products

At various stages through the design process, conduct intensive testing to ensure the required specification of the development project is met. This may involve (on occasion) visits to external suppliers and test houses.

• Quality: Perform internal test programs of new and existing products.

Experience, competencies and knowledge required:

Electronics qualification

Soldering, assembly and inspection experience

Fault finding capabilities to component level.

Ability to read and interpret circuit and wiring diagrams.

Ability to work alone or within a team

Strong attention to detail
