Pure are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager on behalf of a well known charity based on the outskirts of Cambridge, this role will have a focus on managing the transactional processing and will be responsible for 2 staff members in the finance team. 

The role is a 35 hour full time working week, which offers hybrid and flexible working, working a compressed working week is also offered where some staff members will work a 9 day fortnight. 

Reporting into the Head of Finance you will be involved in managing all aspects of a busy finance function including managing the day to day operational finances of the organisation, and managing the transactional team. 

The main duties are as follows - 

- Managing the financial accounting systems, including transactional processing, user set up and maintenance and permissions. 
- Ensure month end accounts and reconciliations are complete and on time. 
- Process gift aid claims and liaise with the HMRC as necessary. 
- Check payroll calculations and post month end payroll transactions
- Work with the controls Finance Manager to support on the annual audit process
- Manage and supervise the Finance Team including carrying out the annual performance appraisals and overseeing the development of the team. 

You must have proven experience working in a busy finance function and experience managing a small team, you must be comfortable working between different systems and have an understanding of functions such as pivot tables and formulas.
