We are currently recruiting for a Electrical Field Service Engineer for our client who are based near Portsmouth, Hampshire.
This role will initially be a 6-month contract with the opportunity to potentially go permanent at the end.
The hourly rate will range from £25 - £35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Key duties:
- To deliver on-site and remote support for customers’ experiencing technical issues with maritime vessels.
- Act as first line of support for our customers, raising and responding to service tickets, full fault diagnosis reports for customer communication
- Undertake Servicing and routine maintenance on customer vessels (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical systems)
- Undertake commissioning and document status of all vehicles that require any element of commissioning in its project lifecycle.
- this role will entail prolonged periods working away on customer site
Key skills required:
- Will have an experience in a number of the following fields:
- Marine Engineering
- Electrical/Electronic systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Willing and able to be deployed to customer sites for periods of up to 4 weeks at a time
- Will have demonstrated a high degree of technical expertise, problem solving skills
- Demonstrated the ability to coach, train, other staff members
- Experience in formal testing, and verification & validation.
- Ability to work under pressure to resolve problems as they arise
- Maritime/Marine experience preferred but not essential
