This opportunity is for a Key Account Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced company in Banbury. You will be proactively managing a range of wholesales accounts to drive incremental sales through site penetration/acquisition and product range extension, using preferred supplier status. You will support sales representatives and channel partners in administrative areas such as order processing, sales quotes, sales information management, product training and financing. This is a full time, permanent opportunity, office based in Banbury.

As the Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Growing sales of wholesale accounts as a whole via executing the specific account strategy
  • Thorough planning of outbound calls, promoting and selling the entire range of products into single and multiple branches, scaling opportunities quickly and efficiently, creating valued relationships and repeat business
  • Being a focal point for specific accounts, providing preferential treatment (from a customer's view point)
  • Handling escalated queries ensuring they are passed to the correct department for a satisfactory resolution in line with organisational procedures
  • Following up open quotes when applicable, and following through to order status as required by wholesale customers
  • Supporting Marketing and External Account Managers to review customer data to produce ongoing account plans for each customer including:
  • Devising monthly sales and product campaigns through analysing internal and external information
  • Completing outbound telephone calling campaigns to promote the company brand and/or following up on specific direct mailing campaigns and promotions
  • Liaising with marketing to produce customised marketing campaigns
  • Building knowledge of businesses and markets through utilisation external sources, recognise and follow up new business opportunities working with the Territory Sales Manager
  • Identifying and executing scalable opportunities
  • Ensuring all CRM tools are updated accurately and communicate relevant information to team members
  • Responding to, and managing, incoming contact from the customer through telephone, email, and website, where the customer specifically requests to speak with yourself
  • Consistently delivering the highest standards and quality of service that retains existing customers and supports the development and growth of new customers

As Key Account Manager, you must be/have:

  • Sales/telemarketing and or key account management experience within a high pressured, dynamic sales, customer service or call centre environment
  • Working towards individual, team and business KPIs/targets and being successful
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Commercial business acumen
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Customer centric, and acts with customers in mind
  • Able to build strong long term relationships
  • Action orientated with a drive for results
  • Confident solution lead problem solver
  • Able to negotiate skilfully with both internal and external groups
