Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy providing exceptional customer service?
We're looking for a motivated Vehicle Parts Controller to join a busy stores department. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the parts operation runs smoothly, keeping our clients' engineers and customers satisfied.
  
So as the Parts Controller what will you be doing ?
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all parts department administration tasks (stock audits, reports, deliveries, invoices).
  • Manage stock inventory in conjunction with the Team Leader, ensuring our clients' engineers are fully replenished.
  • Process parts requests promptly and accurately to support the service department.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing exceptional service via phone and face-to-face interactions.
  • Assist the warranty team by guaranteeing timely returns of parts to suppliers.
  • Conduct annual engineer van stock checks and participate in annual stock takes.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Greet customers and visitors professionally and courteously.
  • Escalate any issues requiring management attention.
  • Manage delegated tasks and responsibilities according to company procedures and budget.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
As the Parts Controller we would like to see:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a parts department.
  • Experience with commercial vehicle, HGV or refrigerated parts is desirable.
  • A valid UK driving licence. - Non negotiable as you will be travelling on occasion
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
This role may involve regular travel within the UK visiting other service locations and may also occasionally require staying away from home overnight.
