JOB:  General Manager - Cold Store

LOCATION: Tewkesbury

SALARY: Circa £45k+ plus car/car allowance; pension; private healthcare; death in service benefit; 25 days holiday plus statutory days; bonus

HOURS: 40 per week 

DURATION: Permanent

My client, an exciting, vibrant and growing business, is seeking to appoint a permanent General Manager to manage their Cold Store Warehouse.

You will be managing the daily operations of the Cold store Warehouse, including all internal movement, transfers and storing of clients’ products.  You will maintain high levels of accuracy in the day to day operations; lead and development the warehouse team of approx. 30 personnel; and provide impeccable customer service to clients.

This senior role, which reports directly into the senior leadership team, is a busy, challenging and exciting position.  You will be the senior person on site main point of contact for both customers and staff.

A cold store background is desirable, however a thorough understanding of FMCG (ideally food warehousing) is essential.

You will have:

• a good standard of education
• commercial acumen
• good experience of operational management and control within 3PL 
• proven leadership and development skills
• food industry experience
• IT literate and numerate
• an ability to produce clear and concise reports
• good presentation skills
• problem solving abilities
