Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Edinburgh, Central Scotland.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £38k + Training + Benefits
Our client is a well-established and leading provider of asbestos management services across the UK. They are now recruiting in the Central belt of Scotland to take on an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst. You will be working on Local Authority, Social Housing, Healthcare, Educational, and Industrial sites carrying out the full range of surveying and analytical services including 4 stage clearances, re-inspection surveys, sampling of suspected ACMs, ensuring work adheres to HSG 264 / HSG 248 guidelines. For the successful candidate, our client can offer opportunities for further training into other environmental sectors, company pension scheme, and excellent holiday allowance.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Hamilton, East Kilbride, Kilmarnock, Cumnock, Paisley, Dumbarton, Cumbernauld, Falkirk, Stirling, Glasgow, Penicuik, Coatbridge, Dunfermline, Kirkaldy, Glenrothes.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Will hold the industry relevant qualifications BOHS P402, P403, P404 or RSPH equivalent.
" Extensive hands-on experience working as a surveyor / analyst for a reputable Asbestos Consultancy.
" Will have extensive knowledge of HSG 264 / HSG 248 guidelines.
" Able to use industry relevant systems to produce reports e.g. TEAMS / TRACKER.
" Will have excellent communication skills, and the ability to organise work efficiently.
The Role:
" Working on a mixed portfolio of sites, carrying out management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys.
" 4 stage clearances.
" Undertaking smoke, leak, background, re-occupation, and personal air testing.
" Attending site to carry out audits.
" Attending site to carry out re-inspection surveys.
" Carrying out sampling of suspected ACMs, ensuring to bag safely and label correctly.
" Ensuring work is carried out in line with HSG 264 / HSG 248 guidelines.
" Will use TEAMS / TRACKER systems to produce detailed and comprehensive reports.
