Master Diagnostic Technician - £36,000 depending on experience, with an OTE of £40,000 | Vauxhall/Bosch Car Service | Rugby, Warwickshire | Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, with Saturday mornings on a rota | Competitive £36,000 depending on experience, with an OTE of £40,000.

We are seeking a Master Diagnostic Technician to join our experienced team. In this pivotal role, you will be the go-to expert for diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues using Stellantis and Bosch Car Service diagnostic systems. Your knack for problem-solving and your technical acumen will ensure that customers leave satisfied and their vehicles running smoothly.

Additionally, you will mentor less experienced technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-achieving workshop environment.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician
  • Background in automotive sectors such as Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, Auto Electrician, or MOT Tester
  • Independent working ability and adherence to schedules
  • Demonstrated good workmanship and accuracy in tasks
  • Clean UK driving licence

What will your role look like?

  • Diagnose complex symptoms across various vehicle systems, alongside routine service and repairs
  • Collaborate with Manufacturer and Management teams to resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing
  • Handle repairs and maintenance on Electric and Hybrid vehicles
  • Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Carry out routine maintenance, engine and gearbox repairs, and work on clutches and cambelts
  • Ensure workshop compliance with health and safety standards
  • Share technical updates with the team to maintain cutting-edge service standards
