Are you a passionate and experienced English Teacher with a dedication to making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Dunbar Education is thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and inclusive SEN school in Oakham. We are seeking a committed English Teacher who not only excels in delivering high-quality English education but also possesses a strong background in supporting students with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring all learning needs are met.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
  • Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and parents to provide holistic support to students.
  • Utilise a range of teaching strategies and resources to cater to various learning styles and abilities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English with the ability to teach up to GCSE level.
  • Proven experience working with SEN students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with best practices in SEN education.
