H&S Manager – London / Hybrid Working - £55-£65k + 15% Bonus / package

We are working with one of the UK’s largest housing providers offering high-quality, new affordable and shared ownership properties nationwide. They are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional to join their expanding H&S team. Working with the Health & Safety Director, you will help to provide expert advice, guidance and support to ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and promote best practice across the business.  

Additional duties include:

• Carry out monitoring of contractor H&S requirements and maintenance work, compile reports and generate effective action plans to rectify any deficiencies found.
• Undertake regular inspections in line with H&S audit plan
• Ensure risk assessments are in place for all activities and ensure control measures are understood, implemented and monitored.
• Establish safe systems of work for high/medium risk operations and ensure effective implementation.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and health & safety concerns and ensure appropriate controls and prevention measures suitable and sufficient.
• Assist with the compilation, review and distribution of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• To develop and deliver a range of toolbox talks, practical and technical health and safety related training courses.
• Developing formal and informal health and safety communication programmes.
• Support local management and safety support staff e.g. safety coordinators, fire wardens & first aider.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent / working towards
• Previous experience working in residential property, housing, construction or FM sector.
• Knowledge of CDM & Contractor Management.
• Awareness of Fire Safety.
• Proven technical managements skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Strong engagement and leadership skills
