The company is one of the leading independent Pest Control businesses in England, providing top-notch pest management solutions to a diverse clientele. They are currently looking for a dedicated and proactive Accounts Assistant/Credit Controller to join their finance team.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Assistant/Credit Controller, you will be instrumental in managing the company’s credit control processes and maintaining accurate financial records. Your responsibilities will encompass building and maintaining strong customer relationships, managing debts, processing payments, and handling various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have solid accounts experience, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Sage 50 and Office 365.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the company’s customers.
  • Manage all debt, chasing all debt over our 30 days term via phone, email, and post.
  • Process incoming customer payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Send out monthly statements.
  • Raise job invoices and monthly/quarterly/yearly invoices.
  • Raise credit notes when required.
  • Chase for valid Purchase Orders/Works Orders and amend invoices to match.
  • Load all business credit card receipts and dart charge receipts.
  • Upload all incoming supplier invoices and update the supplier record once the customer invoice has been paid on the system.
  • Check supplier statements to ensure they agree with our supplier accounts.
  • Deal with all customer queries and keep emails up to date.
  • Provide cover for accounts assistant when absent or on holiday if needed.
  • Keep all customer contact records up to date.
  • Assist the Accounts Manager with any other tasks as required.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in accounts.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with Office 365.
