A distinguished multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a Principal Designer to join their dynamic team in Nottingham.

This medium-sized consultancy is renowned for delivering top-tier services across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and public projects.

The successful Principal Designer will

  • Provide expert advice on health and safety during the design phases of projects.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and design reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with the CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Prepare and manage pre-construction information and health and safety files.
  • Facilitate and lead design workshops and safety briefings.

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Principal Designer role.
  • Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Proven experience in design risk management.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Membership with IOSH or APS preferred.
