Milk Education are working with an Ofsted Rated Good Alternative provision in Greenwich who are seeking a full-time Academic and Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work across KS3-KS4 class. This Teaching Assistant role is to support both students and the class teacher with the day to day running of the classroom. You must be confident to support the KS3 and KS4 children working on a one to one basis and in a group capacity as and when required to do so.

The hours of work are 08:30am- 16:00pm and the hours will be Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch break. This role is a long term opportunity for a September 2024 start. As a Teaching Assistant within this school, you will be required to support with Wellbeing and Academic Learning and Development.

This Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting the class teacher with anything they need support with including keeping all children on task and ensuring that the work they doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure the classroom is kept clean and tidy each day.

Role and Responsibilities as a Academic and Behaviour Teaching Assistant:

* Supporting with Learning and Developing
* Working on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Encouraging, Supporting and De-escalating students
* Being involved across the curriculum, including outdoor learning, PE and Core subjects

We are looking for a Academic and Behaviour Teaching Assistant that is:

* Confident with the UK Curriculum
* Recent experience with Secondary Ages
* Experience of SEMH and Behaviours that challenge
* Able to contribute to, and work, as part of a team
* Reliable and flexible to suit the expectations of our schools
* Creative, Pro-active and Enthusiastic Individual
* Able to work under own initiative
* Education related qualification preferred but not essential
