Assistant Site Manager

We are currently searching for an up-and-coming Assistant Site Manager who is keen to grow their management skills. This role will be suitable for people looking to step up into an ASM position coming from the tools/supervisory role/construction logistics background or has 1-2 years’ experience as an ASM previously.

The project you will be involved with initially is a large multiphase industrial scheme and it will be your responsibility to support the team throughout the build.

Role:

• Regularly checking on the progress of construction activities to ensure they are on schedule.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting site safety audits, and addressing any safety concerns.
• Assisting in the coordination of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Ensuring materials are ordered, delivered, and stored properly on site.
• Maintaining accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety inspections.
• Acting as a point of contact between the site manager, workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Required:

• Previous experience working in a supervisory role in construction is required.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of IT systems such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS are essential.
