Position: Solderer

Salary - £24 - £27,000

Location: Bedford

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Solderer to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Bedford.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Solderer to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

Role

• Perform soldering to IPC-A-610 standard
• Assemble and solder electronic printed circuit boards to IPC 610 class 3 standards
• Conduct rework and modifications in accordance with IPC-7711/7721
• Handle wiring and soldering tasks following IPC-620 requirements
• Execute complex rework of SMT components
• Manage multi-layer and PTH hand soldering and rework on complex assemblies, including those with challenging thermal management conditions

Experience/Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months experience in assembly and soldering of electronic printed circuit boards
• Proficiency in rework and modification as per IPC-7711/7721 standards
• Skilled in wiring and soldering in line with IPC-620 requirements
• Expertise in complex SMT rework
• Competence in multi-layer/PTH hand soldering and rework on intricate assemblies
• Strong literacy skills
