Clerk of Works- Highways Maintenance/ Surfacing
 
Are you an experienced professional in Local Authority highway maintenance? We are looking for a Clerk of Works to join our team and oversee our 2024/25 carriageway resurfacing programme in the south of the district.
 
About the Role:
As the Interim Senior Clerk of Works, you will be responsible for overseeing a programme of 2024/25 programme of carriageway resurfacing work. Additionally, you will provide valuable input into the preparation for the 2025/26 works programmes for resurfacing and surface dressing.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Supervise the carriageway resurfacing work for the 2024/25 programme.
·Provide input and assist in preparing for the 2025/26 resurfacing and surface dressing programmes.
·Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.
·Communicate effectively with contractors to ensure best outcomes.
Essential Experience:
·Minimum of 5 years of Local Authority highway maintenance experience.
·Proven ability to communicate effectively with contractors.
·Demonstrated ability to interact sensitively with customers, including residents and businesses.
·Full valid UK driving licence.
