About the Role:

Are you a passionate and dedicated Food Technology teacher looking to make a significant impact in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join a thriving school in London Bridge, dedicated to providing high-quality education and support to Key Stage 4 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH students.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Developing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) to support student progress.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Promoting practical life skills and healthy living through hands-on cooking activities.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and implementing effective strategies to support SEMH needs.

About You:

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Food Technology teacher who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology, preferably within a SEMH or SEN setting.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges and strategies associated with teaching students with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A creative and adaptable teaching approach to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.
