The Opportunity
Due to successful project expansion, our client is currently seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer who will have the chance to provide technical and application support for our clients Engineering and Design Group. Working with other members of their team, you will be responsible for assisting with developing design criteria.

You’ll be working in both client facing and internal roles, our client is delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. They’re driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

Helping deliver Nuclear Power Projects our client is delivering client critical works to some of major UK and European Projects. Their embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.

This role will be based in Gloucester along with Hybrid working. 

Your duties and responsibilities will be
  • Large scale new build industrial HVAC experience (design, install, ideally full lifecycle).
  • Assist with developing design criteria  and defining requirements for the systems.
  • Developing conceptual design and preliminary design documents.
  • Completing calculations related to sizing and selecting systems and participating in the development of Air flow schematic.
  • Duct and Instrumentation Diagrams, and general equipment arrangements.
You will have the following qualifications & experience
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or other engineering degree).
  • You must be able to obtain BPSS and SC-Clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical HVAC design.
  • Design of air handling systems (100% outside air, recirculating, exhaust systems, dust collection).
  • Ability to lead multiple mechanical and plumbing resources on larger capital projects.
  • Knowledge of design codes and standards.
  • Ability to work on-site in a team environment co-located with the customer.
  • Adhere to schedule deadlines and budget limitations.
