Job Title: Nursery nurse- long term to permanent

Location: Lewisham/Greenwich Area

Hours: full time- 4 days a week (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) and 1 day per week (9:30 am - 6:30 pm), option of working full year or term time only

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £27k FTE

Position Summary: As a nursery nurse, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the daily activities of the pre-school, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and fostering their development through engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with toddlers and babies in a caring and attentive manner.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being.
• Collaborate with the pre-school team to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Childcare qualification minimum.
• Proven experience working with toddlers or babies in an educational setting.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a nurturing disposition.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
