Do you have experience as a transport or operations supervisor?

Join our dynamic team at Suez, working on our Devon Contract Waste brand. We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven and capable Transport Supervisor to oversee our transport operations and processing site. This role is pivotal to ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the daily operations, maintain high standards of safety, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Manage and supervisor the day-today transport operations, including the management of 25 drivers and allocation of work.
• Oversee the shredding processing site, ensuring all activities comply with the company policies and safety regulations.
• Lead and develop the transport team, fostering a positive and productive work environment including driver debriefs. You’ll also handle any grievance or disciplinary matters.
• Coordinate and optimize transportation schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Keeping accurate records and dealing with queries and problems. 

Salary: £36,767.65, plus 10% performance bonus

Location: Lee Mills, Plymouth

Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week,  Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM

What you’ll need to apply:

• A full driving licence is essential.
• Experience working in a transport or operations environment.
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• A friendly, approachable manner; and great teamwork skills.
• A COTC, HGV, or CPC is desired but not essential.
