Personal Advisor

  • £17 - £21 per hourly rate

Shropshire Council are looking for a Personal Advisor to cover maternity leave.

About the Role:

  • They work with young people leaving care and support them with their health, accommodation, employment or training, finances, benefits, relationships, and identity.
  • They have statutory responsibilities to remain in regular contact with care leavers and to update their plans every 6 months wherever they live in the UK.
  • They have an office base in Shrewsbury, but this is a hybrid post, and the successful applicant will be provided with all the equipment needed to support working from home.
  • They are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the needs of young people with care experience, and additional skills such as knowledge of benefits, housing, supporting asylum seekers, and education.
