We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our clients team. As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure their safe and efficient operation. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Duties:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HGVs, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in HGVs

- Conduct inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions

- Undertake Servicing and MOT prep

- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot problems

- Solder and repair wiring connections

- Fabricate or modify parts as needed

- Conduct heavy lifting as required for repairs or maintenance tasks

- Dig into engine components to identify and fix problems

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions

- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labour time

Skills:

- Strong mechanical knowledge of HGV systems and components

- Proficiency in equipment repair techniques

- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals

- Capability to handle heavy lifting during repairs or maintenance tasks

- Experience in fabricating or modifying parts as needed

- Attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping

Package:

• Salary: £40000 - £50000 doe
• Overtime available
