Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Electrical Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

As the Electrical Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Electrical Engineer, will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out modifications and installations when required, maintaining, repairing electrical, mechanical plant to optimize both reliability and maintainability.
  • You will provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers where required.
  • You will also need to complete any required paperwork.
  • Produce reports accurately and on a timely basis. 
  • Carrying work in high standards and in line with current company policies and procedures
  • Reporting any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety, or the environment.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring own work and work of those under supervision is completed in a safe and diligent manner.  

To be successful for this Electrical Engineer role you must have:

  • The ideal candidate would have appropriate up to date training such as NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline)
  • 17th Edition or 18th Edition 
  • SVQ 3 Electrical installation
  • Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
  • Responsible for themselves and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
  • They need to be able to read and understand technical drawings
  • Have good problem-solving and decision-making skills and be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written.
