SLR has a fantastic opportunity for a Quality and Environmental lead to join us on a part time (0.6 fte) basis for an initial 6 month fixed term contract. The person joining will assist the Environment and Quality Manager and HSEQ Advisor with the provision of high-quality support for Quality and Environmental management.

The person joining will provide support across all teams working within the Europe region, with a focus on supporting the Environment and Quality Manager with a variety of tasks aimed at improving quality and environmental practices within the organisation.

About the role

You will be responsible for providing assistance across SLR's internal Environmental and Quality Management teams, with responsibilities including: 

Internal Audits and Trend Analysis:

  • Conduct planned internal audits.
  • Collect data for trend analysis to identify areas for improvement.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work with different teams to integrate business improvement practices.
  • Ensure these practices are embedded into business operations, office activities, and decision-making processes.

Environmental Data Collection and Improvement:

  • Lead efforts in collecting environmental data.
  • Identify and implement improvements in the methods of environmental data collection

Innovation and Improvement in Environmental Practices:

  • Identify opportunities for innovation in environmental practices, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Propose and help implement improvements.

Guidance and Training Enhancement:

  • Enhance the guidance provided to employees on quality and environmental best practices.
  • Support training of employees on project compliance requirements and ensure training meets quality and environmental standards.

Support Corporate Documentation:

  • Assist in updating and publishing corporate documentation.
  • Ensure that documentation reflects current best practices and compliance requirements.

About you

If you think that this could be your next move, we would love to hear from you. We'd expect that you would be able to demonstrate:

Experience:

  • Proven leadership experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, ideally within a consultancy setting.
  • Strong background in quality and environmental management systems.


Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of environmental regulations and quality standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO accreditation requirements and processes.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex data and develop solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and ensure project completion within timelines.
  • Proficiency in implementing organisational changes and guiding others through the process.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications or memberships in quality or environmental management (e.g., 9001 Lead Auditor are advantageous)
