Swift Placements are working with a Courier Service based in Selby who are looking to recruit for a Warehouse Administrator. The warehouse admin will be responsible for providing administrative support to the warehouse team, ensuring efficient and accurate record-keeping, inventory management, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. This role is initially temporary with the potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.

Hours:

Full time role

Hours: 7:00am- 3:30pm Monday to Friday

Location: Selby

Occasional Saturday work as when required by the business

Warehouse environment with some administrative office work.

Competitive hourly rate of £11.44.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including receipts, shipments, and inventory levels.
  • Prepare and process documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Update and manage warehouse management systems (WMS) and databases.

Inventory Management:

  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage stock levels and replenish supplies as needed.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and customers to arrange deliveries and collections.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and queries related to warehouse operations.
  • Provide support to the warehouse team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Data Entry and Reporting:

  • Enter and update data accurately in the warehouse management system.
  • Generate and distribute regular reports on warehouse activities and performance metrics.
  • Maintain and organise electronic and physical files.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or administrative role is preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and data entry is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
