Small Tools Fitter & Driver

Perm role, £28k-£36k pa DOE, Mon to Fri

I am looking for an experienced Small Tools Fitter to work for a small family run business based in Castleford. Running a fleet of over 700 specialist flooring machines for diamond grinding and polishing concrete, machinery for removal, levelling, sanding and full dust extraction you will be tasked with servicing sites throughout the whole of North of Mainland UK.

You will be required to fulfil all servicing aspects, whilst assisting with driving and general yardman duties as required. The role requires you to have a varied skill set and have the ability to think for yourself. High levels of customer service and company professionalism are vital for this role.

Day to day duties will include:

-Maintenance and repair of machinery

-PAT Testing

-Cleaning machinery

-Maintain service records

-Carrying out deliveries and collections to sites across Mainland UK

-Ensuring the workshop is kept clean and tidy

Key skills and experience required for the role include:

-Full UK Driving Licence – Must be over 25 and have a maximum of 6 points

-Ability to work to own initiative

-PAT Testing Certified

-Experience with 110v, 415v and Petrol machines

-Good level of spoken and written English

The core working hrs are 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, although flexibility in this will be required to suit my client’s needs. The starting salary is experience dependant and will start between £28k to £36k and the role is advertised as Permanent.
