"No one likes uncertainty. However, the fear of the unknown can deter someone from applying.

How do I know what resources I will have? How do I know they'll deliver? How do I know what's in it for me?

Ever been in a situation where a firm struggles to answer those questions? You won't be alone.

But you won't find that here.

This company is acquisitive, which leads to succession planning issues, along with promotions and retirements. In your area, they have a client book with a healthy amount of ongoing fees. With a validation of the salary threshold, you'll earn a bonus from your first piece of business onwards.

Not bad, right?

You'll also have access to information about the average client portfolio, their ages, and the business that's been carried out. All the information you need to strategize a business development plan will be at your fingertips.

You'll receive a good starting salary ranging from approximately £50,000 to £60,000 and earn on new business and ongoing business paid half-yearly.

However, to look after such a substantial client book, you need first-class support, which you will have. You'll work with administrators and paraplanners who not only carry out their traditional duties but also deal with clients directly, freeing up more of your time.

There's also flexible working and an ethos of encouraging a healthy work/life balance. The feedback from planners who have interviewed and now work for them is excellent.

What you'll need:

  • 4-5 years of IFA experience
  • Must be self-sufficient and comfortable in a stand-alone role (although you will have support from Head Office with Paraplanning and Admin).
  • Preferably CII, DipFA.
