Quality Engineer

Contek are working with an established company who have been in business for a few decades now. They are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team. You must have experience within this profession to be successful and be located in the UK, within a commutable distance to their site.

You will be maintaining and improving their quality systems and oversee all assurance activities, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and to ISO9001 standard. Previous experience working in Machining, Fabrication, Assembly or similar would be essential to be successful in your application.

Responsibilities;

• PPAP & APQP.
• Completion of corrective actions with 8D.
• Contribute to NPI.
• Working to ensure compliance to customer and ISO9001 standards.
• Ability to write Work Instructions for new work processes & changes to existing products.
• Dealing with customer and supplier complaints.
• Problem Solving and Decision making on Quality issues.
• Experienced using manual measuring methods with tools such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges and shadow graphs for example.
• CMM experience (Ideally programming but not essential).
• Internal Auditing.

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work to technical drawings.
• Work well off of your own initiative and as well in a team.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to seek out improvements.

This role is a standard day shift position with an early finish on Friday.
