Our client are seeking a visionary Business Intelligence Director to create and govern enterprise-wide solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.
As the country product owner for Business Intelligence, you will shape the business strategy, ensuring our organisation is at the forefront of technology in this field and fostering a data-driven culture.
Job Description
As Business Intelligence Director, you will lead a team of four specialists and maintain a strong working relationship with the IT database team.
Your primary responsibility will be repositioning the team towards analytics and AI enablers, transforming it from a traditional report-building function to a cutting-edge analytics powerhouse.

Key Responsibilities
- Requirements management and governance across UK business to control the scope and manage design of BI Projects to deliver the best outcomes across the enterprise
- Pipeline and workload management for BI Team including stakeholder expectation management
- Develop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analysing and identifying areas for improvement
- Contribute to and support feasibility studies from a technological and organisational perspective
- Maintain a strong knowledge base for key data domains to ensure alignment to BI strategy
- Act as the BI/Data SME on transformation/IT projects
- Drive continuous improvement for data quality, system structures and consistent use of systems
- Product ownership for BI Tools working with Group BI to cement company strategy into country
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Experience managing a team of BI developers
- Experience working with PowerBI, Tableau, SQL and Azure environments
- Microsoft Fabric desirable
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
- Detail-orientated with a demonstrably high standard for data accuracy
- Able to collaborate with both commercial and technical stakeholders (technical product managers, development leads, data owners, accounting teams)
- High drive and energy level. Guidance and change-orientated
- Strong in stakeholder and relationship management
