Endeavour Recruitment has an excellent contract opportunity for a Gards Service Analyst to join a leading client based in Andover, Hampshire.

Hybrid role - 3 days per week, onsite in Andover. 

£25-£33 per hour (inside IR35)

Due to Security Clearance requirements, British citizens.

The GARDS Service Analyst (Global Activity Risk Decision Support ) role will support the delivery of two categories of service:

Monitoring: To provide monthly reporting to monitor changes to the Army’s activity stack, including flagging risk, across all platforms in scope. This will focus on assessing equipment and ES Mat risk to forecasted Army activities. In addition, the Contractor will submit alerts by email, if a risk is identified which needs to be raised with greater urgency than waiting for submission of the consolidated monthly report.

Scenario Analysis: To model Army initiated scenario requests which will be specific change queries against planned, contingent, or nascent activities. The service output will be a report to inform activity planning decisions, with an initial frequency of one per month, which will be subject to review against service team capacity.

The specific responsibilities of the role will therefore include:

  • Responsibility for supporting the regular (typically fortnightly) upload of input data sources to the GARDS analytics tool including up-to-date platform and ES Mat information to inform strategic contingency, operational, training, fielding, trials and fleet maintenance planning, with associated risk, for the allocation of Force Elements at Readiness and Sustainment ((email address removed)).
  • Utilising the GARDS Analytics Tool to produce analytical outputs, working with the GARDS Analytics Lead and Service Lead to refine these outputs.
  • Ensuring data analysis work is delivered on time and to the required quality standard.
  • Support GARDS service request assessment meetings and customer review meetings to provide enhanced reporting insight that is seen by the customer as adding value.
  • Develop and maintain productive business relationships with Army stakeholders.
  • Support the GARDS Analytics Lead and Service Lead to understand the data analytics effort required to deliver each scenario requirement.
  • Working collaboratively with other GARDS team members and the customer to review interim products making changes as appropriate based on review feedback.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Building a working understanding of how the Army equipment enterprise operates and identifying risks and potential efficiencies.
  • Developing a working knowledge of the analytical techniques (including modelling) underpinning the GARDS toolset.
  • Working collaboratively with the GARDS Service Lead to comply with regular progress and finance reporting policies and processes e.g. timesheets.
  • Supporting the capture and implementation of service lessons learned.
  •  Ensuring company health, safety, environmental and security procedures are complied with at all times

Qualifications & Experience      

  • Data analytics / modelling experience
  • Proven fleet or asset management experience
  • Project Management Practitioner (APMP or PRINCEII)
  • Experience of leading complex data analytics projects
  • Experience of Python and / or C#
  • Understanding of business processes and identifying improvements
  • Knowledge of the Army, and its equipment support and logistics systems
  • Degree educated in a numerate subject or relevant experience
  • Full driving licence
