Job Title: Account Director

Reports to: Sales Manager

Location: London - 2 Days a week

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum + Double OTE

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

As an Account Director, you will serve as the primary commercial and strategic engagement point between our client and their customer base. Your role will involve increasing sales activity, growing revenue, and ensuring exceptional client service through deep understanding of client challenges and effective use of our client's products and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, identifying and closing new business opportunities within existing accounts and new logos.
  • Collaborate closely with Service Delivery Managers to ensure holistic account management and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and manage the CRM system effectively.
  • Develop and execute strategic account development plans.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings, quarterly business reviews, and annual strategy sessions.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to implement campaigns and events that support sales initiatives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all strategic and commercial matters.
  • Cultivate strong, long-lasting client relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profitability.
  • Leverage executive sponsorship within client accounts.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with junior members of the sales team.
  • Communicate progress on initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed reports on account status and sales performance.

Requirements:

  • Education: University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience directly managing an account base, ideally within the IT or cloud services industry.

Skills:

  • Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders, including Executive and C-level.
  • Strong proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of industry trends driving customer spending decisions.
  • Appetite for new business development and achieving metric-driven goals.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker comfortable with ambiguity and change.
  • Team player with good prioritisation and project management skills.
