Management Accountant

Location - Basingstoke 

Salary - £50,000 - £55,000

I'm working with a high growth organisation who are looking to add highly motivated qualified finance professionals to their high achieving team. They are looking for someone who can prepare the month end journals but also present these to finance and non finance stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present accurate and timely month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries accurately, including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications.
• Perform detailed reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Generate and review profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Analyse budget variances and provide actionable insights to management.
• Perform detailed variance analysis between actuals and budget/forecast figures.
• Investigate and explain significant variances to management.
• Prepare and deliver financial presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• Support long-term financial planning and strategy development.

Qualifications:

• Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
