Hours: 12-hour rotating shifts - days and nights

Salary: £30,000 starting

About the Company: My client is a leading company in the manufacturing sector, dedicated to providing high-quality products. Their team is committed to excellence and continuous improvement, and we're looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Manufacturing Technician.

Job Purpose: As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to the Shift Supervisor. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that planned and unplanned work is carried out effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with company and customer standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tool changing, colour changing, setting, and fault finding.
  • Perform servicing on machines and tools.
  • Provide assistance to non-technical team members.
  • Ensure completion of all tasks following relevant work instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the department throughout shifts.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Accurately complete quality, production, and machine setup documentation.
  • Uphold compliance with all relevant legislation and company procedures.
  • Support the efficient functioning of the department by fulfilling additional requests from both technical and non-technical staff.

  • Technical qualification
  • Clear and proven competence in a technical/engineering environment
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for objectives
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence in challenging existing practices and seeking continuous improvement
  • Team player who can collaborate effectively
  • Conscientious and thorough work ethic
  • Logical and methodical problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and acquire new skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete work as required

Desirable Experience:

  • Plastic Processing Qualification, City and Guilds, or equivalent
  • Injection Stretch Blow moulding experience, including setting various machines and tooling
